Yes, Oundle School Sports Centre will be open to the public. Schools will use the Sports Centre and its facilities at set times. The Sports Centre will be open to the public at clearly defined times that we hope will suit the majority of our community. The existing Sports Centre will remain open whilst the new Sports Centre is being built. The facilities will be available right up until the opening of the new Sports Centre. New membership of the Sports Centre will be required.
The new Sports Centre is being built on the existing athletics track (which has been replaced adjacent to the Astroturf pitches), behind the existing Sports Centre. The current sports halls, squash and fives courts will remain and the sports halls will become a solely School resource. The current swimming pool building will be removed, with the land used for car parking.
No, but we will be contacting existing members to discuss membership of the new Sports Centre.
Yes. Parking will be free and plentiful, and will include accessible spaces, parent and child spaces as well as electric car charging points. The parking at the existing Sports Centre will be slightly affected by the building works with some of the existing car park space no longer available.
We anticipate operating all year round, seven days a week, with activities and classes scheduled throughout each day. Opening public hours in term time are expected to be 7am – 10pm week days, 8am – 2pm Saturdays and 8am – 9pm Sundays, with the potential possibility of early opening on certain days for School use only. Within these opening hours will be specific time periods set aside for School use only.

Yes. The time table of classes is under development, but we expect to offer a mixture of health, fitness and dance, core strength and lifestyle classes.
The Sports Centre is being funded and built by Oundle School to answer the needs of the School. The centre will be open and available to the wider community with carefully planned time tabling to suit all users. There will be different membership categories to choose from dependent upon your requirements.
